I have to say I know where rumsfield is coming from. He is like Walmart and I am afraid to say the name of the Co I work for but just like we are just like walmart in business practices. You do it as cheap as you can. You get good credits for lowering cost. So you lose a life at times that is no matter because the cost of a life or many lifes are lower then the the value of the goal.
So you lose 3000 lifes that cost the government maybe 3 million dollars. Not a big deal if they had sent in the full 800,000 people to do the job right it would have cost maybe 100 billion dollars. You see the government puts a value on life.. Your life.
He will stay in office because of the savings he made if nothing else. It is the same game walmart plays. So they get caught from time to time. it only cost them so many millions of dollars but they are saving billions. It is your life and it is their pat on the back.
People are so stupid that they think he failed but he really did his job and did it very well. It depends on which you think is of more value ... A life ...... or a dollar? He is to save dollars not lifes. He did his job to the tee and should not be bothered about it at all. It was not him that is pushing for this. It is the white house.
I am not republican in anyway but I do understand how it works .. Rumsfield did his job just as he was told to. Go after the accountents not rumsfield.. He did his job.

Rumsfield is long past due for resignation. With all the mistakes made in the past few years--since 2001--someone has to take the blame.

They will not stop until they take him down. Then when they replace him with someone else, they will try to take him down too...
They only want to discredit people and make the spirit of the Republicans or the Conservative party low. Maybe dis-enfranchise some voters.

Rumsfeld needs to resign. Watch the CNN special on him and see what the generals are saying about him. It not pretty.
