I loved "The Notebook" and "Stand By Me" starring River Phoenix, one of his greatest films.

without hesitation it would be Napoleon Dynamite. I can never stop watching that movie. i love comedys i also like this indian movie (my parents are from pakistan and no they are not terrorist!!!!!!!!) called "Mugaleazum" it has a wierd title cuz it's a different language but it's a love story about a girl who is just a servant for this indian prince and they fall in love but cannot love each other. so the king gets angry and sends her to jail. but then in the end she is set free but through out the movie is tortured. it has lots of fantastic music. i can understand it but probably you guys cannot (except with subtitles). it's probably the greatest indian movie ever. but still napoleon dynamite is better.
