I agree with you.
Most doctors are far too quick to prescribe medications.
It is normal to feel a variety of emotions in life. For example, if you lose someone you love, grief is normal and the whole grieving process is healthy. Medicating normal feelings away can’t be healthy.
If you are having problems with something like anxiety or stress try to find a councilor who can help you learn techniques and lifestyle changes to deal with this, instead of medication.
Many emotional problems can be improved by eating better and more exercise.
It’s best to look at the whole picture, physical and emotional health.

Right now, the majority of the power in the population is still the baby boomers, people born in the late 40's-early50's.And as they get older, they want a pill for everything possible that can go wrong. So the pharmaceutical companies concoct one.And to make back the millions they spent researching, formulating testing and waiting for FDA approval, they advertise the heck out of their new medication. Why do you think so many kids are wrongfully diagnosed with ADHA?It's the drug companies. Why be a parent when you can give your child this pill and they'll do what you want them to do!

I was on prozac and resperdol for depression. I took them for about 2 months and stopped. They were taking me away from myself. remember, they are still drugs. Just the government's drugs. And when I was off them, I was hanging out with my friend one time and his girlfriend(who is a nurse) told me that prozac was proven to make people suicidal. But yet they give it to people with depression. And the suicide to homocide rate in america for 2001 was 3:1(if you do not know, suicide rate is 3 times higher than the homocide rate).

I was in a gas station one time and I swore I saw a comercial for a prescription that makes people cry. I swear I did. I even asked the person next to me, "did you just see that comercial?". But he was not paying attention. Strange how they have prescription to help depression and a different prescription to help you cry. Take care love!

Well, I hope they can find a pill for "stupid". (I'm not referring to you, I just think this would solve alot of the world's problems).

And by the way, to the girl above me, Resteless Leg Syndrome is a real physiological phenomenon, which I have.
