Okay, I like weird period movies and like Johnny Depp-- this pre-viewed DVD is at my local rental shop for 9.99. Should I spring for it? Tell me what you thought. Thanks.

I just bought that movie at my local grocery store for 9.99 also, but haven't seen it yet...
I collect all Johnny Depp movies I can or tape them when they are on TV...
I have quite a collection already...

I liked it and I'd buy it for that. It really has some harsh material. You can read about the real John Wilmont and get a pretty good idea about what you will be viewing.
I thought the acting and the whole movie was great, but not everyone is going to feel the same. It will be up to you to decide if you want to buy it.

This movie is definitely for you. It is strong with passion, weirdness and hate. I owen the movie myself. I love Johnny Depp.
