Why does the ABBA song refers to losers in feminin..?

This is not a "sexist" question. But just take a look at this passage:

"The loser standing small
Beside the victory
Thats her destiny"

I'm not a huge ABBA fan so could be wrong...I think the song was written during the breaking-up of two members of the group and was quite personal.

er....could be that it's a woman singing, and the song is about her losing her man?
