Every year, after Christmas, and before New Year's day, my family gets together, and have a blast during that week. We move the location every year, as my family is so big, we are now spread out all over the country, so we get to travel to different areas each year. And to see my Grandchildren grow so much in one year, it is fantastic. And to see one of my older brothers become as bald as me (finally) is sweet justice. He razzed me for years, as I went bald early. All in all, we have a blast. And the young ones get to keep in touch, get to play, and have learned to keep the FAMILY going. What else, in the long term, is there?!!

Yes. My family loves reunions. We flip-flop every year what side's reunion we go to. Both are during the 4th of July time. For my side we have a huge pig roast one day and fireworks, my brother puts on a better show than our local town. Then another day we all go drink tubing down the river. The last time we went we had 36 tubers and 10 extra tubes to hold the coolers. What a blast. For my husband's side we meet at his aunts which has a pond and camp around it for a week. We play games, hold tournaments and there's activities for the kids. It's a blast also.
And, no...having your family re-union around Halloween isn't odd. To each their own. My parents were married on Halloween, so we always end up gathering at their house after trick-or-treating. Lots of fun.

When I was younger I loved them! We went to Kentucky every year to see my family and had a big cook out! But now that my Grandparents are gone we don't even bother. It's just not the same!

i like them too.. my family from hawaii come here to California and we all hang out every year around the forth of july
this year i'm going to florida for a huge family reunion with my other family..dad's side..anywyas

I love family reunions. We are scattered all over New England, and it is nice to get together. We don't do enough of them.

I would hate them if my family had them.
I envy you that you enjoy them ... I'm happy for you. I have no idea what it's like to enjoy one's own family. I wish I had a family that I enjoyed being around. Glad you're not in my boat!

I would really like my family reunions if all of my relatives didnt take turns spanking me with a big piece of wood....everytime we have a family reunion, I spend 2 days pulling splinters out of my butt. NOT FUN

I love them. We have them twice a year, once at our house and once up North over Labor Day and Memorial Day weekends.
