The Democratic Party has pretty much disappeared.
They have been taken over by the Liberal Left, and they have deserted the blue-collar traditional citizen who believes in family-oriented values.
The Republican Party is doing no better, though.
They have been drowning in a quagmire of irresponsible money spending, when what they need is a moderate Republican who will keep spending down and take care of education.
No, I don't think we are ready for a one-party system.
I think we need to throw OUT the Electoral College! Then we could become a multiple-party system, in which any good solid citizen could be elected, not just lawyers and rich people. For instance.... Harry Truman was no lawyer, he was a haberdasher. Common statesmen are what made this country great, and I think we need to tell those rich a**holes to get the heck out of politics. They already have all the money, they don't need to keep going for more power. Throw 'em out.

Human nature being what it is, it wouldn't be long before the remaining politicians split into 2 separate camps, and thereby restored the 2 party system.
The republicans are half-way held together under the same name in part by the fact that they have a common foe. Take that foe away, and they'll turn on each other.
We wouldn't have a 1 party system, because there is no one person strong enough to hold them all together. One group will be perceived as getting more power, perks, etc. than another, and pretty soon they will start fighting each others. Then both will claim to be the "real republicans", and want the other side to change their names.

The Dems and GOP activities have existed for thus long when you consider that they have advanced and absorbed recommendations from different activities. If the Libertarians or yet another social gathering took over, an same human beings would have an same problems with goverment. in case you imagine that the authorities is at a stand nonetheless or that the rustic has problems with 2 important activities, what would or not it really is like with 5 or 6 or better. Ever hear of the conserving: too many cooks contained in the kitchen destroy the stew. some human beings imagine Europe's variety of having each social gathering represented is a thanks to bypass. imagine about this: ever been in a room with 2 human beings speaking. no longer undesirable, effortless on the ears. Now image a room with 10 human beings speaking. each 2 human beings's verbal substitute is louder than the subsequent. The quietest contained in the room, quickly can't hear one yet another communicate, so as that they boost their voice. ultimately you'll locate that each and each man or woman is very nearly screaming on the proper of their voices only to hearken to. And if you're contained in the room as earlier, only gazing, it really is going to change right into a deafening racket. no longer to teach, if 2 reviews are adequate to decelerate authorities, what's it going to be like with 10 reviews clogging up each little thing? i ought to assert that I, for one, respectfully do not share your view of overhauling the social gathering equipment. I too have my frustrations, yet to easily abandon the biggest activities is extremely of a stretch.

I don't think that the whole Democratic Party is bad, just the majority of them, specially when they start talking about amnesty for the illegals and forget if this is going to affect the American people one way or another. One of them is Mr. Kennedy from the state of Mass.Every time he open his mouth is to defend illegals or say something bad about every thing that is going on and with out any recommendation to do it better. I think that he should be vote out of Congress this coming November.

I lean more toward republican than democrat, but I wouldn't like it at all. We need both sides. No one side should have all the power. The thought is pretty scary. There is good and bad in both parties.

I'd cry, not because I love everything the Dems do but because it leaves only 1 party in power. The governmetn is already run by the elite anyway, and this means it's an even narrower subset of people who will now be in charge.

I would throw a huge party.
The world would be a better place and people would quit blaming America first.
Abortion genocide would become a thing of the past and so would the feminazis.

We already have a one party system. American voters are more than fed up and I think we will see some major changes due to this war in Iraq.

This country needs more than one major party. The Dems need to get rid of the libs. They need more Dems like Zell Miller.
