I guess it could be true. Some people take caring as a sign of weakness, same as being nice. Yes we are the ones that determine how hard we fall. It all depends how close we let others get to us.

Yes, the more you care about others the more vulnerable you are to being hurt by them or by something happening to them. However, I don't think that means you should care less.

Do you mean the more you care for someone or love them,
the more you will be hurt by them in some way if they leave
you or hurt you or die???
Then my answer is yes, because you have so much of your feelings invested in them so you will hurt when they hurt you back...

yep it certainly is. you show people you care and that leaves you available to be taken advantage of. the best saying to live buy is LOOK AFTER YOUR SELF FIRST and if you have energy left after that then you give a little to some one else.
