Do you shop at hot topic? if you do what do your parents think about it? do they go in the store with you? do they buy stuff from there?

my mum personally refuses to go into hot topic, but my dad will.
the only things i really like there are the band tees and some of the shoes (my penguin slip ons came from there, and i happen to love them)
but a lot of it is painfully overpriced, so i'll try to make some of my own things, like headbands and ribbons.

Hey, unlike the rest of the people that have answered this question, I happen to LIKE Hot Topics! To each their own! I personally dont shop there (I am way too poor LOL) but if I could, I would. I am also a parent, and if my 9 year old wanted to shop there, I wouldnt let her YET, but yeah I would definitely go with her in there cause there are some things in there that are...eh...for mature audiences only. Of course, she would probably be walking with my hands covering her eyes through half the store...

I go to Hot Topic all the time. I love that store! My parents don't say anything bad about it. They go in with me sometimes but we usually go looking around on our own in the mall. My mom bought a shirt there one time. They are expensive but most of the time when I go they have an extra 50% of their clearance and I find some good stuff in there.

Hot Topic does have SOME cute things. But mainly the stuff in their are a little too hard core for me. I think I bought shoe laces, a shirt and some flip flops from there. My mom bought my the flip flops, and my aunt bought me the shirt I bought the shoe laces. The store isn't bad at all, but a lot of parents still look down on it. Oh and yes, my mom comes in with me sometimes.. she even offers to go in there!

Yea I shop there most of the time..because there are no stores other than Hot Topic that sells band tees... and IT"S NOT A "GOTH" store. - _ - My parents lets me dress the way I want...they don't care what I buy...and they rarely go with me...

I love Hot Topic!! I've bought a few things there. They're a little expensive on some things. I'm 27 so I don't need my parents permission to buy something.

BEST STORE EVER!!!!! My mom LOVES Hot Topic....we will both go in there and buy stuff.....i love buying things that have to do with The Nightmare Before Christmas!!!! FREAKS RULE!!!!

I was walking around the mall once with my cousin then we saw Hot Topic and we were like "Whoah" and being the daredevil that she is, my cousin pulled me in. We stuck out like a sore thumb and then when we were about to leave this guy came up to us and showed us bleeding eye toy and we were like "uhh." I get scared in there.
My parents dont like it, it's too goth. So no, they dont buy stuff from there.

No, I stopped shopping there. I like their concept and style but I refuse to pay $18 for a T-shirt I could make myself for $4. My advice is go there to get good ideas, then go elsewhere to actually shop.
