im 13 and tommorrow is my first ob/gyn appointment because im pregnant and i dont know what to expect plz tell me what happens.

they'll prbably take an ultra sound and u'll hear the heartbeat.nothing painful...u'll actually have a unforgetable time...congratulations

Well, it won't be anything like the way you got to this point. Very sterile and matter of fact and not a bit of passion. But you won't get any lies or promises of being taken care of or Baby I love you either.
You will be in a gown, hospital, not a prom gown which is where you should be in a few years....before this happened to you. Then, hopefully the nurse will explain to you what they will do. Now, I think you need to just ask her what they will do. All Dr.,s and clinics are different. So, just ask. It won't be the worst thing that you'll go through but it won't be fun. So, just relax as much as you can and listen to what they say to you. Take all the info. you can get and read it! Now. If you were mine you would be spending the next few months in school, at home and doing homework and maybe some volunteer work at the nursery in the hospital near you. If the boy is over 18 he would be arrested and you wouldn't be seeing him until you turned 18 unless the law said otherwise with child support. I wish your mom luck and I wish you some maturity and some respect for yourself and your mom. I hope this baby gets a good start in life and is loved by the people that will raise it. Sorry, I can't answer your question. This is something only you can do. Just like birth and death no one can do it for or with you. Some things God makes us do alone for reasons we don't know. First I know u might be scared or nervous but don't be. I also got pregnant when i was 13, but the first thing to do is to relax. Don't be scared but its ok to be nervous cause this is ur first visit. Well my first appointment, u kno they take ur blood pressure, weight all of that. They do a urine test. They might want u to undress all tha way since this is ur first visit but this should be the only time u have to do all of this. Then he's gon ask u questions all types maybe. Ur last period things like that. He will check u down below but that might be tha first and last tyme unless a problem occur. then he will do a ultrasound so it really isnt as soom people might say it is. but like i said u will be just goin threw this just ur first tyme there. any other tyme its just check up and ultra sound but don't be scared you'll be fine. And like i said i went threw tha same thing at 13, i'm 19 now and my lil gurl is 5 so if u have anymore questions or just wanna kno more i'll be here my email is latavia0323 if u wanna talk more about it. cause when i was ur age i didn't just really wanna talk to my parents about wat was goin on wit me so just get at me if u need to talk about anything.

No one like to go to the Doctor and sped your legs. But, if you're pregnant you will be doing alot of that and most Doctors are know you going to be scared so, they are very nice to you and tell you everything that he will be doing during the exam. Poor baby , you're so young to have a baby. I know how you feel I was 15 when I had my daughter. I will tell you that you do lose all modesty having a baby. I was 2yrs older than you and I kept my baby, it was the happiest most wonderful experience of my life. I could not believe I could love any thing that much. She was beautiful and she came from my body.

They will have you pee in a cup take your blood pressure and do a pelvic exam. The doctor will insert a speculum in your vaginal area and take a swab with a big Q-Tip looking thing. Then he will insert two fingers inside you and feel around to make sure your cervix is closed. The Speculum does not hurt just relax and you will feel some pressure. Its not really a big deal so dont freak your self out.

You will go in to the exam room and the assistant will ask some questions about your periods, sex, how your feeling, and give you a paper gown. You will change into the gown and freeze your butt off until the doc comes in. The doc will probably ask you the same questions; have you lay down, feel your breasts and check for abnormalities. have you lay down, scooch down and spread, use a light and speculum ( a metal thing that they use to look inside) to check inside your vagina. They may take some swabs, and feel your stomache.

Ummm, i'm 13. I've never been pregnant so i don't know what to expect. I'm sorry you even have to go through this. I think your best bet is to talk to your mom. Hope you get through this ok.

It depends on how far along you are in your pregnancy. They will take your blood pressure, ask you some questions, maybe take a urine sample. Make sure you are taking prenatal vitamins. They may take an internal swab to do a routine check for certain diseases/conditions.

I would say talk to yor mom... Can you talk to her about these things she is the only who will give you a honest answer right now.........If not talk to your Dr. when you go
