Look in the course catalog, look on the syllabus, or look on your schedule.

In my college it was the second number. In the class 2314....2 meant that it was a sophmore level course, 3 was the number of hours and 14 was some random number the assigned to it.

Look in the course catalog. A lot of colleges have them online.
