They were already here. That's why we call them NATIVE AMERICANS. They were native to America, get it? The white men came here. The black men were brought here. The Indians, as in Native Americans were here. I suppose if you want to go far enough back in history there is a theory that they came here across a land bridge that existed between Alaska and Asia. That would have been a long long long time ago. I have heard that is why Alaskans, Native American Indians, and some Asians look similar. Perhaps they are all from a common ancestral race.

The Native Americans came before any of us, during this time period everything was great. Until they got kicked out of thier ownland and the whole Christopher Columbus discovered American theory was spread around. Truth is the textbooks don't explain into detail how unfair this was for the Native Americans they weren't even able to recieve citizenship until 1945(I think) because they faught in the war for America. Of course the stupid people also enslaved the Natives and treated them like dirt. There are many things the textbooks leave out, the Natives were here for a good 25-20 thousand years before columbus ever arrived. So the answer is when it started out the Natives were doing great and life was peaceful. But in the long run, it really wasn't worth them going through all the fuss and trouble. They were better off where they came from, somewhere in Asia.
THE AMERICANS WERE NOT FROM AMERICA, THEY WERE FROM ASIA. THUS THIS IS WHY IT IS VERY HARD TO TELL THE DIFFERANCE FROM A FULL CHINESE AND A INDIAN. STUPID PEOPLE GO BACK TO 8TH GRADE AND SOCIAL STUDIES.

It was very bad for the Native Americans, due to the arrival of the Spanish in South America
and the English in North America. The Spanish were interested the fabled "City of Gold"and
conquered all of the Carribean Islands and most of Southern North America including Mexico. The Spanish killed a countless number of Native Americans by the following ways:
In battles, the Spanish had horses, swords, and gunpowder and won most all of the fights.
The spanish used the Native Americans as slave labor, in their quest for finding gold. Many
Native Americans died working many hours with little food.
The Spanish also passed on many diseases, of which the Native Americans's immune systems had no defense; therefore they became sick and died.
In North America, it was just about the same thing with the British and the original colonists.
Everyone wanted the indians dead and they marched westward killing most of the indians, until they surrendered and then they were put on reservations, where many of their ancestors
still live today!
In both instances, it was greed for land and gold.

What, these people think Native Americans just grew out of the ground like Corn?
Archaologists have found evidence that Native Americans are related to Siberians and Mongolians from across the Bering Strait which during the Ice Age was a solid bridge across from Russia to Alaska.
It is believed the American Indian is also kin to the Canadian Inuit Nation as well.
National Geographic did a special issue on this topic some years back.
They displayed photos of various Nationalities side by side which showed obvious similarities.
They were Siberian/Mongolian/Inuit/Eskimo/American Indian/South American Indian
I have posted another question regarding the Mound Indians of North America and the theory of their alleged ties to ancient Egypt.

First of all, the Native Americans were already here. The Europeans came to America and disrupted their lives, stole their land and gave them disease.
