For me it's 'All You Need Is Love' by The Beatles.

"There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It's easy.
There's nothing you can make that can't be made.
No one you can save that can't be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time
There's nothing you can know that isn't known.
Nothing you can see that isn't shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be.
It's easy."

They wrote a lot of amazing songs in the late 60's but this one spoke to me the most...and taught me some important lessons.

One of the first songs that comes to mind for me is "Video" by India.Arie. In the midst of the era of super thin models, half-naked video girls and society's constant pressure on women and young girls to be the "ideal woman," "Video" is a song all about a young woman loving herself and knowing her self worth.

I'm holding on a rope
Got me 10 feet off the ground
I'm hearin' what you say but I just can't make a sound
You tell me that you need me then you go and cut me down
But wait
You tell me that you're sorry didn't think I'd turn around and say:

That it's too late to apologize
Too late
Said it's too late to apologize
Too late

I'd take another chance, take a fall, take a shot for you
I need you like a heart needs a beat, it's nothing new
Yeah
I loved you with a fire red now it's turning blue
And you say
Sorry lord, the angel heaven let me think was you
But I'm afraid

It's too late to apologize
Too late
Said it's too late to apologize
Too late

I'm holding on a rope
Got me 10 feet off the ground

I love that song and Beatles songs. My song right now and ever since it came out is "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence. I can't admit here why.

It may sound kinda "girly", but my choice is "The Rose" by Bette Midler. I've always loved that song. Since my divorce, it really speaks to me personally with a powerful message.

"My Immortal" by Evanesance.

i'm so tired of being here
suppressed by all of my childish fears
and if you have to leave
i wish that you would just leave
because your presence still lingers here
and it won't leave me alone

these wounds won't seem to heal
this pain is just too real
there's just too much that time cannot erase

when you cried i'd wipe away all of your tears
when you'd scream i'd fight away all of your fears
and i've held your hand through all of these years
but you still have all of me

you used to captivate me
by your resonating light
but now i'm bound by the life you left behind
your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams
your voice it chased away all the sanity in me

these wounds won't seem to heal
this pain is just too real
there's just too much that time cannot erase

when you cried i'd wipe away all of your tears
when you'd scream i'd fight away all of your fears
and i've held your hand through all of these years
but you still have all of me

i've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
and though you're still with me
i've been alone all along

Its talking about how to deal with death, and though some people cant stand listening to it because of it meaning, it makes me stronger. Its a very beautiful song with a deep meaning.

Forever and Ever Amen by Randy Travis. Makes me think of my grandmother who passed away a couple of months ago. She loved him.
