i cant detect a wireless connection on my laptop, and i keep detecting it but no connections would show

Try moving around the room. Try it in different spots.

If that doesn't work, disable and re-enable your wireless device and try again. Sometimes you just have to re-set it.

IF that doesn't work, have the router re-set.

1) Make sure you enable your wireless card and the card driver is working well.
2) If you know the SSID, type in the SSID in your wireless tool and key in any encryption key (WEP, WPA) if you set up on router. You should be able to make the connection.
3) Make sure your wireless router is on and configured properly.

Make sure the interface is enabled, some laptops have a switch to turn it off, and if you bump the switch, it doesn't work.

The wireless router might not be broadcasting an SSID. Do you know which SSID and security key to use?

-consider you Wireless Card is ON
-make sure you Wireless Router is allowing you to do Wireless Network
-check you WEP Key - make sure its right



-call your ISP - Internet Service Provider

do YOU have wireless internet at home/work?

don't rely on your neighbor's...they may be secure or else their router may be somewhat distant from you
