The job posting is with a new company, one I have no contacts in. I work for a smaller competing company and fill the description to a T. I worked up to where I am now without a degree, althoug I do have some college (about a junior level).

I worked in human resources at a medium-sized company. Send your resume anyway including in detail all your experience. After about a day or two, call that company and ask who's in charge of the hiring, and introduce yourself to them (dont tell them:." although I don't have a degree.." unless they ask)
Talk about your experience and how you can help THEM grow!
If you are good, they'll hire you regardless of degree.

Absolutely call them! Many times I would automatically discard some resumes and pick them back up from the pile when they called. MANY TIMES

Good luck

First of all, make sure you did not sign an non-compete agreement with the co. you are with now (meaning that you can not go work for the competitor). Beyond that, if you feel you are qualified, then I think you should just go for it. Companies like to see some college under your belt, which you have. People get so hung up on college, they are missing out on many jobs that will consider college and relevant experience. Have a past employer write a letter of recommendation for you too...that's always huge! Good luck!

You should give it a try. A lot of companies will count experience as much as a degree if it's a good fit otherwise. I've had a few jobs and never have had all of the so-called requirements. Good luck.

If it says you need a degree then chances are they won't even call you for an interview... Send in your resume anyway- you never know that one requirment may be negotiable if the person hiring sees that you have considerable experience. It's hit or miss... Best wishes!

Try to apply, emphasise on your working experience and other soft skills, maybe they will consider your experience and hire you. Meanwhile, take a degree course. Most company are looking at qualifications.
