My 6 year old daughter wants to be a pirate for Halloween. She is in a wheelchair, and I am trying to come up with a way to make her chair look like a pirate ship. Any ideas? I need cheap.

Wow! Some really good ideas. I'll have to post a picture when we are finished. It should be easier than last year when she wanted to be a hermit crab.
Thanks everyone.

Ooooo fun!
You could draw on cardboard to make it look like old wood planks and then cut it out to fit on her chair - like circles for the wheels etc. Then you have to have some sort of ship's name plate on the back and of course, a flag pole... maybe get adventurous and turn it into a mini crows nest with a pirate flag at top.
You really could do all this with cardboard, a black Marks-a-lot pen and a broom stick. I can't tell you how much I wish I was there to help!

It would be ideal if you could find a plastic pirate ship large enough to cut and fit over the chair.
I guess an option would be to make the chair look old and wooden and then tie a pirate flag to it. That would also be cool.

A little imagination, some paint and cardboard......My niece is in a wheelchair.....over the years I have made her..A fire engine, box of cereal, Lego block.....all of these took some time and a cardboard box. You can go to your local appliance store, they usually have the really big ones that you can cut down to the size you need. Most of them are more than willing to give you the empty box.

Cut out cardboard ship shapes that attach to the sides of her chair. Color them in with little openings for the cannons and an anchor. When she looks at herself sideways it will look like she is in a ship.

extreme heeled footwear; cigarette holder with a cigarette in it; a black - white wig or only get some colored hair spray (that washes out) in white and black colour; lengthy gloves; matching earrings and ring; you also could have a dalmatian dogs toy with you.
