Go to Add/Remove programs, the name of toolbar should be in there, i'e, yahoo

click start. click control panel. if windows xp, switch the classic view. click add/remove programs. Find the toolbar in the list. Then click the remove button.

go to view toolbars and click the one you want to remove

That will depend on where it is stuck! It may take a little surgery to remove it from some places.
