No, I would not. Maybe I'm superstitious, but to me our Prez is personified evil. Aside from the fact that he is pro business and not for the people(gvmt. is supposed to be for the people by the people), do I also believe that he has started an illegal war that costs a lot of young men and women their lives.....Bush had no right to invade Iraq under the false assumption that Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. By legal definition can you not break into, and enter your neighbor's house just because your neighbor has a couple of bombs there. Instead, legally, you do have to cal the cops and let them take care of the issue. Another reason why I would not think I would shake his hand is because he stole the vote 2 times, one time in Florida, next time in Ohio. There are a lot of other issues, but my big issue is the healthcare and housing situation for the poor, the fact that he doesn't do anything for clean ari, the fact that he promised prescription help for seniors and look what they get now: a coverage that refuses to pay for medication prescribed by a doctor. No insurance should have the power to reject what a doctor ordered!!!!!! Bush allowed outsourcing, in our country people can't find jobs----so no, for all the above reasons and some more, would I not shake Mr. Bush's hand....

I'd be afraid of catching something, so think I'd have to pass on that "honor." But, if he grabbed mine, I'd immediately run someplace and find some soap and scalding hot water, then pour some alcohol over it to disinfect it to get rid of the stench. Wouldn't shaking his hand kind of be like shaking Hitler's hand?

While I may not agree with a lot of things Bush does (I am not a Republican (although I am neither a Democrat)), I don't believe that he is an evil or bad person. I believe that he is probably a pretty good guy trying to do the best he can in the situation he's in, doing what he thinks is right. And as we all know, people can have major disagreements about what is the right thing to do. I would shake his hand out of respect for him as a person and out of appreciation of the fact that he is working so hard. Holding the office of President is a very hard job.

No I have no respect for him. The things he did his dad and Ronald Reagan would never had done.It is very clear he does what he feels is right. His dad had went to war and knew we should not go back. GW feels why listen to dad or anyone else. He came to the White House with no direction and found a war to fight. The he found a new war to fight. Then he found the gays to fight.Who went with us to fight the willing or the stupid.

As much as I disagree with him, I would shake his hand. I would makesure to grab real tight, look him in the eye and ask: "Why are you doing this? Why are you such a complete bastard?"

NO because if you can remember correctly, he has never let any one other than republicans in on any of his speeches or any thing. (how are we supposed to take that? no questions from the opposing team for fear of being caught in a lie?) so no they wouldent let me in. I wouldent shake it any way.

By the responders, including yourself, there are very few who take the Bible seriously. Try reading Romans 13:1-8 (at least).

I would shake his hand but let him know that my prayers are daily with him. He needs them and moreover, I respect them because he realizes that he needs prayer.

many of you act like you don't.

No. But this is largely hypothetical as since Bush only appears to prescreened groups of supporters, I will NEVER be allowed any where near him. And I'm happy with that.
