That's all you here nowadays from people who don't know about ball. Oh Kobe's a ball hog. AI is a ball hog. Hey Brainiacs, Jordan always took the majority of his team shots and didn't pass too much and has 6 Rings to speak of. Kobe has 3, and AI has brought his team to the finals with like no help. What are you retards talking about? You know nothing. Hey if leading the leauge in scoring was a bad thing you wouldn't win a scoring title for it you idiots!

Yeah there's no I in team and there is no passing up a scoring title either. You guys make me sick. The facts speak for themselves. If you can drop 50 you should because some players can't and the object is winning.

Know it All you are soo stupid. They lost in the 04 Olymics because the team was not fully stocked with all the best players in the NBA like the original Dream Team. Iverson can't do it alone and the best guard is Kobe. You need all the superstars.

Passing up a scoring title doesn't mean a championship. In fact the opisite is usually true. Look at the best scorers of all time. All of them either have rings or have been to the finals. You are just g@y.

I think there is something wrong with you C-Dumb. Jordan is the standard. Besides that there is Wilt, Shaq, Kobe, Iverson. All scoring champs, all have a ring or have been to the finals. You make me sick.

Hey C why don't you go out and score 81 on a national stage and show us your greatness.

I think there is something seriously wrong with you. Let me ask you a question genius other than Jordan how many other scoring champs have won the MVP let alone a world championship. Bottom line scoring wins games defense wins championships. Even though Jordan was scoring all those points he Pippen, an Horace Grant(later D.Rodman) were lock down defenders. Without the Diesel,D.Fisher, and R.Fox Kobe is ring less. A ball hog is a ball hog, the difference between AI and K.B is that Allen is surrounded by junk an has to score Kobe only trust himself an forces his shots. Finally the scoring title is a statistical measure it doesent guarantee greatness.

i think it really depends on the type of player. If a player shoots more than he is suppose to and miss a lot of them i'll consider him a ballhog. Kobe is not a ballhog he is licensed to shoot the ball ever chance he gets. He average 4 to 5 assist a game and could have more if his teammates are capable of putting that ball in the hoops. The play of LA Lakers is centered on kobe so i won't blame the guy if he throws the ball more than any of his teammates. That also goes to AI as well. That point is they will not be given that much touches if the coach thinks they don't deserve it.

International brand of basketball is very different from the NBA but if kobe was in the world championship together with reliable scorers like D-wade, Lebron and melo you'll see kobe passing that ball more because he knows those guys could hit the basket and kobe will have a lot more assist on his credits. I don't think he is ballhog he just got to do what he got to do to give the lakers that win.

I also want to note that if kobe played last WC he could have been a big help cause he is a all around player and he has the balls to take and make does basket down the stretch. Heck the US team would have won that with kobe.

I'm not a kobe fan but i do know how to appreciate greatness when i see one.

That's not true at all. Wilt Chamberlain lead the league in scoring and in assists at the same time once back in 1968, and he was/is often clowned for selfishness, but he won titles after he lowered his scoring down. It's true that elite players take a lot of shots, but they also utilize the team to win. Jordan played very hard on both ends, but learned to use the team in oder to be more effective and get those 6 chips. Remember, at least 3 of those titles had moments where teammates hit pivotal shots (John Paxson on Phoenix & Steve Kerr vs. Utah) on or some other big play (Horace Grant vs. Phoenix) that are as talked about as MJ's highlights. Your own points don't matter if you lose at the end of the game. Kobe's learning that now and AI looks like he's past the point of hope. The main reason why Iverson played at that level was when he almost got traded to the Clippers. He also was moved to the 2 instead of the point and the 76ers had someone else run the offense. He helped in Larry Brown's departure, despite the fact that he could've challenged for the title and still got lots of shots. Iverson has had capable teammates, he chooses not to pass unless there's no other option. 8 times out of 10, he's not going to pass.

I'm as tired as you as a matter of fact even more. Kobe has to shoot for them to have a chance a fighting chance. Kobe sometimes takes wierd shots but I rather him shooting them then Smush Parker or Luke Walton. And Allen Iverson, the 76ers wouldn't be on the map if it wasn't for this man. He is in the same boat as Kobe if he doesnt shoot the time doesn't have a fighting chance. In the first seven years of Jordan's career, I think he was getting over not being able to take over games in college. But he shoot majority of the Bulls shoots every year until he retired. And its like they never passed When Jordan averaged his career 37.1 he also averaged 5+ assists, Kobe last year averaged a shade under 5 and Iverson averaged 7 assists a game. If you talking about ball-hog look at there situation first.

ALSO if thats the case why doesnt anyone talk about LeBron, the ball is always in LeBrons hands. The same as A.I. Bron put up 30 and 6 assists.

the difference is jordon acually HIT the majority of his shots you f*cking moron. kobe will never win a title without shaq because all he cares about is kobes shots. AI will never win a title PERIOD. boy we did great in the '04 olympics with ball hogging iverson leading the way, huh? international competition is dominated by countries who play as a team, something ball hogging, 40% shooting kobe bryant will never get.

yes you're right, kobe or iverson would never pass up the opportunity to win a scoring title. the problem is, scoring titles mean more to them than championships, because they are selfish, me me me players.

yes, the object IS winning, that's my point, idiot. that's why coach k doesn't want ballhogs like iverson and bryant on his team.

your mom don't think i'm g@y

you people are missing the point completely. you're talking about winning championships in the NBA, i thought we were talking about international championships. the international game is as different from the NBA as night and day. i think greece, argentina, puerto rico, ect., have proven to us in the last ten years that NBA style of play does not win championships at that level.

if kobe wants to put on a show he can be the opening act for the globetrotters or something. In the NBA you are a team i have no problem with 40 points a game. but 81 points come on completely unnessecary, he is on a team with other professional ball players you cant tell me that they are know good. luke walton would school you. and who the &%#$ are you to compare a legend #23 to some whiny show off. kobe bryant does not care about anyone but kobe bryant. but maybe thats why hes never been on an olympic team huh

People just have short term memories. Jordan was the king of the "ballhogs", but once he started winning championships, he was praised as this great team player. For the past seven seasons, Kobe has averaged over 4 assists per game from the shooting guard position. In all but two of those seasons, he averaged over 5 assists, and he averaged 6 in his first season without Shaq. His low for that period was last season, but he still averaged 4.5. Anyone that watched a Laker game knows that he could have averaged more had he had teammates that could knock down an open jumper. Tony Parker is considered to be one of the league's top point guards but his assists numbers aren't much better than Kobe's. The same goes for Mike Bibby. Kobe has three rings. His hall of fame status is secure. They can call him a ballhog from now until he retires and it still won't matter.

Dont worry people like these are just haters and they always try to find little things to make Kobe look bad. I dont care what people say cause i myself know that kobe is a good player and works very hard day in and day out to make his team win. And the best thing that i like about kobe is that he plays hard no matter what they say. The more they hate him the more he brings to the game and that proves that he doesnt care about these so called haters cause he is doing something that he loves to do and that is to play the game of basketball. So to all of the haters out there stop hating and appreciate the man cause you know you will never be as good as he is in your whole life.

nothing's wrong with scoring tons of points...u need to in score more than your opponent in order to win...but when a player just keeps jacking up crazy shots and missing most of them...then there's a problem...scoring 50 points but having a piss poor shooting percentage of around 20% shouldn't be applauded cuz that means they weren't playing smart basketball...and it also shows that they didn't care...they just wanted theirs and the team be damned...that's why some players are called ball hogs...cuz they r so selfish that they keep shooting even if it hurts their team
