By by hiring quotas I'm not talking about by race or gender, but by party affiliation. For example 92% of the traditional media voted fro Gore and Kerry in the past 2 elections. On the other side of the coin you have those on the left who are convinced that Fox is nothing more than republican propoganda. To counter such appearances, would you favor political hiring quotas (for example 40% Democrat, 40% Republican and the other 20% would be libertarians and independants), for the media if there were a practical way to implement it?

I am against Affirmative Action . The news media should be held accountable for biased "reporting " ( if you can call it reporting ) .
They ought to be able to do the news as it happens ; not as they invent it . I know others , as well as myself, who just say "no" to the drive-by media .

Ideally, there would be no hiring quotas of any kind anywhere. However, in the political arena, it sure would be nice to know that non-Republican and non-Democrat ideas were allowed airtime.
