A realistic-looking one. I'm a good drawer but can NEVER get the nose quite right. Looking for either clear written directions, visuals, or both.

The best way is to look at some pictures of noses in different angles and start drawing them first, just to practise, since you start from 2D to 2D. Try to search for the curves... draw circles to catch the right geometric form, then connect the circles to eachother so you see the noseshape come out. (you can also use squares)
When you got this: move on to drawing yourself (mirror) or someone who poses for you. Try to do it quick, and start by drawing circles, then connect to see the shape - as you get more practise, you will be able to make the circles in your head and draw the nose like it looks.
After a while you'll get the hang of it, and can be more detailed or precise...

Be aware not to draw what you know! That's why noses are difficult to draw: we know how a nose looks like (3D), and we want to put this on paper (2D), but when we see a nose, it doesn't always look like the image in our head... Sometimes it's better to just indicate by using some lines and shadows than actually draw something...

The basic shape of it is a 3 dimensional triangle.Narrow at the top and wider at the bottom.Theres a book by George Bridgeman and it gives drawing instructons for the human form but simplifies the concepts to very basic shapes. Lots of ideas in there and it's easy to see how things are put together.

establish clear proportions using a pencil or thumb sighting

work with light and dark images rather than lines - look for light patterns around nose first then only add lines as a pattern - rather than as lines

the nose is defined by shadowing not hard lines
