I had a relationship that lasted less than 2 weeks - unfortunately a child resulted from this relationship. The blood test did not dismiss me as the father - I have paid child support, provided health insurance and reimbursed the mother for my share of what the insurance doesn't cover - always paid, never late. I have no relationship with the child and do not contact the mother other than paying the bills because the mother has physically attacked me and is a complete psycho. She has done everything to make my life hell. She has not given up on the idea that somehow we're a family. She pretends to be my ex-wife and is now using my name to open medical bills but doesn't pay them even when I've reimbursed her for them, which has affected my credit - she has the bills sent to her house and doesn't forward them to me. I'm going for identity theft but don't know what else to do. How do I get her to leave me alone and get on with her life? This has been going on for 15+ years. Thx!

Why don't you have a relationship with the child? It wasn't their fault that this 2 week relationship - which obviously meant nothing - resulted in their birth. How do you know this child wouldn't be the next person to cure cancer - if you had only given some of your emotional aid?

As to the bills - once you saw she didn't use the money to pay the bills - why didn't you just get a copy of the bill from her and pay the provider directly?

Tell her you don't want anything to do with her - but as a human being - don't close out this child.

Wow! You sound like a nice guy, you have kept your end of `the bargain`and this must have affected any current relationship that you may have.I hate to say this to you,but you will never be free of this blood-sucker, unless YOU leave Her alone.I would not normally recommend this action, but you will continue to live life as a non-person if you don`t do something very drastic. Is it possible for you to go to another state/country? Change your name, get yourself a life. I know this sounds dishonourable and you will find it difficult, but you must get this witch out of your life.
Failing this, can`t you get a good solicitor to sort things out? I cannot believe that the law has allowed this to go on for so long.I feel deeply sorry for you, but that won`t help your predicament.
Is there a family law centre where you can get advice? I am so sorry, but you must do an Houdini and disappear. Good luck to you mate, you certainly deserve it.

WOW! what nerve! i am glad to know that you are going for idenity theft. do you want to see the child? you need to answer that truthfully to yourself, if so, you need to go to your local court house and file for visitation rights. if not, still go there and file harassment charges and definently for idenity theft. the judge will have a field day with her!!! just remember when you go to bring ALL documentation that you have. the courts only go by what can be seen, not heard

It sounds like you will have to take legal action against this person.

A restraining order may be a starting point.
