No one could make a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little.
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

Our family still uses the following quote. It came from an old Saturday Night Live skit when Bill Murray and I think Jane Curtain were married and in bed. Her father was sitting in the middle, ignoring Bill Murray and looking at old photos and discussing then with his daughter. The father said something and Bill Murray said, not to be left out of the conversation,"huh, that's pretty weird." We thought it was hilarious (you had to be there) and have had occasion to use it since several times.

My favorite quote, Trini, is by Annette Heidcamp and it goes like this, "It's hard to let go of something, even if you know it's the right thing to do." I have found that so true through several personal experiences. I love quotes when used well. Great question! Nana

"Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind,
And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind."

From A Mid-summer Night's Dream By William Shakespeare

' I was happy in the haze of a drunken hour
But heaven knows Im miserable now
I was looking for a job then I found a job
And heaven knows I'm miserable now
In my life why do I give valuable time
To people who dont care if I live or die'
(The Smiths)

I was going to give my favorite quote from an Isaac Asimov book, but dosent c beat me to it. How about,"You can bring a horse to water, but a pencil must be lead." I always liked that one, or "Be just what you is,not what you is not. Folks who do this are the happiest lot." That one is by Mr. Wizard the Lizard talking to Tudor the Tortoise. (anybody remember that carton?)

Here's one: "By enduring, we conquer." I believe it was the family motto of that fellow who reached the North Pole first, or something like that. It stuck in my brain because I have mastered so many things by just sticking it out and not giving up. Sent to you from Chris in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A. (I am 63 years old, and often cover my ignorance by just being patient.)

I work for or with engineering firms and my favourite quote is:

"Oh, my God, we're in the hands of engineers!!"- Dr. Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park.
