I think it is, when you hear about wanting to kill every jew in israel, i would say that nation's government is a threat to the peace in the region.

I see the link to America as we need to support the safety of democracies world wide.

Of course they are but it is larger than that. They fund terrorism globally. They are hell bent on making nuclear weapons (for peaceful purposes of course), and of course like all Islamic countries, they oppress their own people.

First off, I don't agree that Iran is a threat to the safety of the region or the US.

Why are parotting what the Iranian leader said and holding it aginst him (despite that it has been misinterpreted) while Bill O'Reilly stated: "You know in a sane world, every country would unite against Iran and blow it off the face of the Earth. That would be the sane thing to do."

Unfortunately, ”The statements of the Iranian President have been reflected by the media in a manipulated way. Iran's President betokens the removal of the regimes that are in power in Israel and in the USA, to be possible aim for the future. This is correct. He never demands the elimination or annihilation of Israel. He reveals that changes are potential. The Shah-Regime being supported by the USA in its own country has been vanquished. The eastern governance of the Soviet Union collapsed. Saddam Hussein's dominion drew to a close. Referring to this he voices his aspiration that changes will also be feasible in Israel respectively in Palestine. He adduces Ayatollah Khomeini referring to the Shah-Regime who in this context said that the regime (meaning the Shah-Regime) should be removed.”

If these words were truly the Iranian president’s and he truly posed a threat to Israel / Jews, then why hasn’t he “pushed into the sea” or “wiped” the Jews in downtown Tehran”?
The answer is because he doesn't want to kill Jews and his words were taken out of context, intentionally misinterpreted.
Are you aware that Iran doesn't have any laws forbidding ethnic Persians/Arabs/Kurds from marrying Jews, whereas Israel has just advocated a law forbidding marriage to Palestinians?

Have any of you read the Iranian Presidents’ letter to the US President? I think it’s worth reading

Now, let me ask you this; why is the Iranian nuclear power program under so much restriction despite that Iran as a signatory of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, they're entitled to do just that. Moreover, under Article 6 of the Constitution, the U.S. is obligated to honor their safe and legal development of the technology and why has the US rejected to have direct talks with Tehran over nuclear issues?

Why do these same restrictions not apply to Israel, which everyone knows already possesses nukes despite that Israel refused to sign this same treaty in the first place not to mention that Israeli nukes can reach Iran and many of the neighboring Arab and European countries. Ironically Israel is pushing for the war against Iran based on its nuclear program and WMDs same as it previously pushed the war against Iraq for the same reasons and now President Bush is saying that Iraq had none! You seem like you sympathize with the Jews. I think that i would say that Iran is just bluffing and trying to distract the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and wants to undermine the strength of the United States and become a rival in the very very near future. THe Middle East is way too violent any sensible person could see this disaster would have happened because the US is also very violent in every way. We dont scare the world as much anymore. It is like they are baiting us to feel more important than they are right now

RE threats to Israel. Don't you recognize political rhetoric when you hear it. All leaders talk like that. It's complete BS. Besides, Israel has enough weapons to destroy every country in the Middle East.

Iran is not the threat. The USA is.
