When I say 'parts', I'm referring to blades, sanding belts, etc

No. As long as the 'parts' you refer to are the same size. In respect to parts that make up the tool or equipment, the equipment is almost always made by a major manufacturer, not Sears. You can then use the manufacturer's parts. For instance, most of their lawnmowers are made by Murry. However, sometimes it is easier to find the tool part you need via Sears.

Not necessarily. I have Craftsman orbital and belt sanders and get replacements at Harbor Freight and sometimes Wal-Mart. I got a new blade for my Craftsman band saw at a Black and Decker outlet. For some add ons like a fence for a Craftsman band saw, I think I do have to use Craftsman brand, but not 100% sure on that even.

I would say not, if you look around there are plenty of companies that will sell compatable parts at a fraction of the cost of the genuine replacements. Things like blades and sanding bellts are classed as consumables, and as such would not be covered by any warranty anyway, and it's highly unlikely that using a different manufacturers consumables would damage the machine.

You can use which ever brand you want. They are universal to the drive units.
