Ive seen this movie at least 100 times and love it more every time.

Everyone else has already answered this, but I thought I'd add, that for once, when they made the movie from one of his books, the director and editor kept the story intact, almost word for word from the book.

Yep, that was a Stephen King series of books...I know because wife #1 was reading them long before the movie came out...I wish I'd read them with her because I am sure they were good. She always did have good taste in books.

Yes, he is the author. He also wrote Shawshank Redemption, Delores Claiborn, Christine and Shining. Those are my favorites.
