When a person of those races proves they are worthy of the job and wins election. But as long as your choices are people like Jesse Jackson,Obama,or Cynthia McKinney I can assure you there won't be a black president. Because quite frankly the people of America don't want racially divisive figures such as them who spend most of their time blaming other people for their problems. All the candidates of the "minority" groups seem to focus everything in their platforms on their race instead of on what's best for America, and as such they will be waiting a long time to see a presidency. People like Charlie Gonzales ( D-TX) are a prime example, want to know why we don't have a Hispanic president anytime soon all you have to do is look at this guys voting record and it will become crystal clear.

Blacks have ran and even the blacks don't vote for them. We DO NOT need a latin president. Isn't it bad enough they are already trying to make us learn Spanish here and trying to reclaim TX and Cali? Not sure about Asian but what % are they really representative of America? Very little overall.

When black, latino, and asian politicains stop being a civil rights politicians and expand their horizons. There have been black politicans that have been elected in majority white counties, so it is possible, we just need the right person. But its politics so its not what the people want, its what the dem and rep. power brokers want.

A good question. I was very sorry that Colin Powell didn't run after the Gulf War.
IMHO, he would have won in a ginormous landslide.
I did read someplace that he was not willing to take the risk of assassination.-----a poor commentary on our country, especially since he was probably right.
