Its ok with the parents and everything so im good in that department. but heres the problem.... I need to raise $400 dollars or more in this next month. otherwise the closer to the date it is, the more expensive the ticket gets. Does anybody have any ideas about how i could raise so much money in so little time? any helpful answers please! also does anybody know what he should do about getting a passport? since hes not stay and only coming for a few days.. does he need a visa?

Just some ideas:

I went to England 2 years ago to visit for 3 weeks and I still needed a passport to get into that country, as well as back into the USA. I don't know what England's policies are, but it may be similar.
For quick money:

1) Ebay auctions. Get rid of some of your stuff, although it can be a crap shoot whether or not you earn any money on that.

2) Garage sale. If your parents are willing and the temperatures are still decent where you live, sell some stuff you don't want/need anymore. Clean out your basement/garage and sell it. This can be more reliable than ebay. Hold your sale early Friday through Sunday, Mornings are when the bargain hunters come out in force.

3) Donate plasma/platelets. Never done this myself, but I heard it hurts. I don't know how much. But pays money.

4) Anything else I can think of is illegal :) Good luck!

OK

All persons travelling internationally require passports for security etc.
Under an arrangement with the US, UK citizens do not need a visa to visit, but they do need to apply (and pay?) for a visa waiver.
He needs to read the following very carefully.

http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/niv/vwp.html

You do not want to get this wrong and be refused entry !

To apply for a passport your boyfriend will need documents and someone to sign his forms. If this is his first UK passport and he is under 16 this link will tell him all he needs to know.
http://www.passport.gov.uk/passport_child.asp
If he is 16 or older.
http://www.passport.gov.uk/passport_first.asp

You also need to check carefully if the airline you want to use has any restrictions on people under 18/16 etc travelling alone.
This can be both a security issue and a responsibility issue.

He can go to a post office to get the application checked before sedning it to make sure it is filled in OK (They charge a small fee)

In terms of the airfare have you looked at some of the cheaper websites. Check out http://www.cheapflights.com
It may be cheaper to fly to a nearby city and use the bus/train/car to pick him up. (Depends on where you live)

In terms of selling stuff, yard sales, e-bay etc are all good ideas.
There is also grass cutting, window washing, car washing etc you might find it helpful to get a friend to help you.
If you cannot rasie the money soon don't worry, See if you can plan for later next year based on how much you can save.

Good luck !

He needs a passport, not a visa. He needs to get started on that soon, so he can get it in time. As far as money, now is a good time to get a job, since people are usually in need of Christmas seasonal workers.

You can save some of your ticket money by flying him on ZOOM Airlines from England to Montreal or Toronto.

He does not need a visa if he's traveling from UK to USA ,He must get a passport from his country ( you can't help him on that one ) . About raising the money : why don't you try to sell some of your stuff that you don't need on e-bay ?
