It is yet another attempt to fool voters into legalizing gambling in Ohio.
Issue 3 legalizes slot machines in Ohio, at racetracks.

It is pretending to be a scholarship program - that should give a clue that it is not something people would vote for without the sham.

It's the so-called "Learn and Earn" issue, where profits from slot machines supposedly go to fund scholarships for Ohio colleges. Much like the Lottery's "support" for education, it's a sham - the Ohio Lottery contributes less that 7% of the Ohio Dept of Education's budget, and the legislature just took that money out and put it somewhere else instead of actually increasing education spending. No doubt the same thing will happen if Issue 3 passes.

Say yes to issue 3? Issue 3 is talking about putting out slotmachines and taking the funds to solely fund higher education in Ohio. The ads say that all the funds would go to higher education, that it is the law, but I also heard on newstalks that only 33% would go into education funding---so we have to wait and see....
