Probably not. Several different kinds and colors of discharge are perfectly normal during a menstrual cycle, but of course if you are worried you should speak with your doctor and possibly schedule an appointment.
If you haven't been having annual GYN exams and are over 18 or sexually active, it's time to start so you can head off problems early. If you are under 18 and not sexually active, you still may need to be seen if you experience upsetting symptoms or changes.

no, for most people it usually starts as dark brown. dont worry, its perfectly normal. and many people start off light on the first day as well. :) do not be concerned

It's fine... I promise. Sometimes our body doesn't expel all of our menstrual blood and so it either comes out sometime between our last period and our next period (spotting) or comes out when we have our next period. Often times this blood is brownish in color... because that's what color blood turns when it's old. Gross, but true.

don't worry yourself. its ALWAYS dark when if first comes on. and it'll always turn light when it is going away.
