that is becuase she didn't have a good relationship with her father and is trying to replace that. I think my sister is full of mud. I know my husband is 10 yr older than me, but I love him with all my heart. To believe her sounds like if I had a better relationship with my father, I wouldn't love my husband as much as I do if at all.
So I am asking all of you for help.
Please just don't give a yes or no answer but add details and if you can give me a web site to look this up or something. Ever since my sister said that to me, I can't help wonder.
Does someone have some info on this?

lady its all realtive

life is not black and white

some women have a bad relationship and they replace their dad with an older man, some marry a younger man, some dont marry

some have a good relationship and they dont want to let go so they marry an older man

some women just marry for love, and it has nothing to do with their father

and if there is a website on this, its just because humans tend to classify things they dont understand or are scared of, or percieve as abnormal as "diseases"

In some cases, this may be true. But, I wouldn't apply this to the majority of relationships of this type.

My Mother and my Step-Father are 13 years apart from each other. He being the younger of the two. They just got remarried after 30 years of marriage this past August.

My Mother's parents were 21 years apart. My Grandfather was the elder of the two. They enjoyed raising children, building a business, and living to old age together. He died at 76 and she died 10 years after his death. She never remarried, or even dated anyone else after his passing. They loved each other completely to the end.

I think genuine true love has no boundry as long as both people are consenting adults.

My relationship with my father was the pits...and my husband is 6 years YOUNGER than me and we are very in love.. So that knocks your sisters theory out of the water doesnt it? Sounds to me like she is jealous of your relationship with your husband. Dont worry about what people say...just be happy.

i think of lust has consistently been around and a few men are extra “lusty” than others. you may desire to probable stroll around in a tournament of armor and there could be some men nonetheless hitting on you. Marriage would desire to be venerated via all, and the marriage mattress stored organic, for God will choose the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. Hebrews 13:4

I think your sister watches too much Oprah. Can she not admit that she just likes the guy regardless of his age.
