Some one tell me about the state providing healthcare to its citizens?

This is "socialized medicine" dear... it is what SANE societies do... in other words, fairminded, balanced & somatically connected. Adequate healthcare is NOT something anyone on this planet should have to "afford..." or, everyone should have the option of 'the state' paying for them to become a doctor, as the medical professionals always take care of their own.

I see healthcare as a right because of one's membership in the human race... it's time to dispand with the HMOs or make them truly secondary in power to socialized care! We are so distorted in America it is sickening... and the "pharmacueticals" are lovin' every minute of this "lame-brain" system!

btw - I normally agree with augmom on issues of government interference in issues - but this will not be the case in Massachusetts - in fact it will probably get more families to get themselves off of welfare and into paying jobs that offer private insurance plans.

Bad idea! Have you ever seen a government-run program that WASN'T a complete and total mess? You want politicians and bureaucrats in charge of healthcare???? Oy vay, what a recipe for disaster!
