I don't think so because I tried to upload a movie from my computer that I converted for my daughters video ipod and it gave me a message that said it was not configured for this computer and it would delete everything.
So unless you have a back of your songs & your friends songs i wouldn't do it.

No i dont think so. But if u want some of your friends songs i suggest asking them to burn u a cd of what they have and then u can just add the songs from that cd to ur ipod. I am pretty sure that like ur song will get deleted and insteade of it being ur library it would be ur friends

i dont think so. i hooked up my own ipod on a different computer and i ended up erasing all my current songs when i tried transfering it to that computer.

No, but you can have your friends burn some CD's of the songs you want, and then you can put the CD's into your computer.

Ipods are generally only an input type of hardware, believe me I've tried.... :(

yes!!! I did this it is a mod and you can do it with any version of i-tunes www.yamipod.com I used to have all the info saved I lost it though read up
