i would wait. I'd build on the friendship more and while doing that..the trust is building as well. talking every day is good but do you talk about how you two feel about each other..doubt that huh? you 2 basically shoot the **** on everything and anything .i bet you can talk to her about anything right? and i bet she's the first person you think of when you wake up right? you two get along so well that u wonder if you 2 crossed over the line of friendship..will it ruin the friendship right? if you and her are truly the best of the bestest of friendships then crossing over into something else is possible. do you think that if you do ..that YOU will still think of her as a Friend? or something else? would you 2 feel odd the next time you see each other after that? no one knows that and if the friendship is as strong as you say then wait awhile longer but keep your eyes and ears open.....

It's great to ask your best friend out. I fell in love with my best friend and we've been married 22 Years.

Listen to what you said, you talk every night until 2 am or later. You are already getting the signal "YES".

Having a foundation built on a true friendship is the "real deal" Physical attraction is only a plus.

Don't delay.

You should tell her how you feel, but let her know that no matter what she says you still want her friendship. Trust me if you don't tell her you'll always wonder "what if?" If she is staying on the phone that long it is a good indication that she feels the same way. Maybe she is afraid to lose your friendship also. You could write a letter that way if she says no you can almost pretend it didn't happen.
