The Patriot Act is a document, which may be used to disrupt or override the Constitutional laws, that we normally live by. Anyone that simply disagrees with any of the Patriot Acts laws, may be deemed unpatriotic, and therefore held indefinitely without trial, persecuted for their beliefs, tortured, imprisoned, and left with no recourse (no appeals).

The PATRIOT Act is an act which enables lines of communcation from all parties to the government. For example: If you go to a bank and try to open an account they are required by the PATRIOT Act to "know their consumers" and take two forms of I.D. from each person they do business with and keep records of any transctions you ever conduct. Should the government ever audit said financial institution they could ask who was opening accounts, for what reason, who cashed checks, amounts, etc. And they would be required to have all logs completed. Same goes for health care agencies, etc. It is a way for the goverment to have access to information that could possibly help them in the fight against terrorists.

It allows the government to gather information about us in many different ways not all legal. It allows the president to do whatever he thinks is "right" in the name of national security. You have no rights if you are deemed unpatriotic. Be careful and vote!
