Honestly, a lot of what people perceive about me is not real. People see the shell, what is on the outside; no one can see everything that is inside (though we are probably more transparent than we think). Consequently, they may judge that I like them when I am just being polite; or that I am just being polite when I actually like them. I am often told by people who don't know me very well that I am sweet--something I never hear from those who know me well :-P
People project their own fantasies, desires, likes, and dislikes onto others. Often, the true reality of a whole person is not known by anyone.

What they perceive about you is true in their own minds. First of all, none of us understand each other 100%. If you see a culture on tv that speaks a foreign language and you have never been there, anything they do which is not of YOUR culture - you will not understand. Your mind will add on to that any rumors you hear about those people and any conclusions you draw on your own. So we all generally understand each other somewhere between 1% and 99.8%. Even a family member who lives with you will never completely know you.

The objective reality is real, but the perceptions of people may not be real. Usually our perceptions are our conditioning about the object of perception, it is our interpretations not the truth about the object. It depends how perception is being done, If the perception is based on memory then it is not real. If the perception is free of the past, means the now moment, then it is real.

Other's perception may not be your reality unless you acknowledge it to being so. For your reality is from your state of mind not others.
Other's reality is of their state of mind not yours. So if you were to see a women acting like a b**** maybe she isn't. It could be who she is and in her reality she is just being her happy, bubbly, cheerful self.
So if you allow other people to define who you are and succumb to what their perception is, you will be living only because of others and not your self.
Understand that you are an individual and it's not up to other people to make you feel good.

Not neccessarily. It's common to view people through the lens of your beliefs, fears prejudices, etc.Combined with the images you are projecting about yourself(or hiding about your self), it's a miracle that people haven't gone crazy or still trust each other..Sarcasm.
