No, diving has, which Chelsea does contribute to, I won't defend that, but other teams do it too.

I would say yes, in terms of offering a fourth team in the title race. It used to be a two team show, between Arsenal or Manchester United. But now Chelsea have entered the picture along with a reformed Liverpool and are dominating the Premiership as of now. It's just too hard for other premiership teams to match Chelsea in the long run... other teams might challenge Chelsea in the odd one off game, but Chelsea's spending power has brought in a wealth of world class talent which would form a top team in itself and they leave those players on the bench! This gives Chelsea an unbelievable advantage over the other teams, as they basically have two or three world class teams and can pick and mix between players whenever they get fatigued or injured.
I don't believe it's impossible for another team to win the premiership, but they'd have to have a great, great season to do so.

Not really, Chelsea were doing quite well before abrahmovic Brought his money over weren't they? They cant buy all the bestplayers can they? Henry, rooney and ronaldinho will never go there. They just buy the best players from the smaller clubs like West Ham or From dutch and french teams. And because they pay well over the top for these players, the teams they buy from can buy other players from smaller clubs and so on and so on. But it doesnt guarantee any success. Chelsea desperately crave the Champions League but have done poorly so far whereas Arsenal(who have only spent 50million in ten years) Got to the final and really should have won it with cheap players like Eboue, fabregas and gilberto. Im a palace fan and we sold AJ to everton and we got good money for him and i believe that is a result of Chelsea's money coming into the country

The scale of the Chelsea revolution is immense.
For those who insist Liverpool or Manchester United would have or tried to do it, it doesn't work out. Liverpool and United both have bottom lines that they must meet. Chelsea are still in the red and their profits are 7 years from matching their expenditures, as per Kenyon.
The scale of the money has been a tipping point and now they have set off a series of takeovers at Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Arsenal have been mentioned, West ham is in the process as is Aston Villa, and Portsmouth is already owned by a foreigner. Gradually, more and more EPL teams are being bought up.

Im a gooner, and yeah i would love it if Arsenal had a endless amounts of money BUT i have to admit that certain teams havin all this money ruining the game and it would be the same if Arsenal had a russian with loada of money! Chelsea have bought all these players regardless if they need them or not, so that no other team can have them and that ruined the game because theres no shocks with football anymore. now the premiership is all about money. If say Tottenham go after a player as well as Chelsea. the player who they are after is going to choose Chelsea even though they know the majority of the time they are going to sit on the bench but they know they are going to earn a stupid amount of money just sitting on the bench and thats all they care about. the majority of footballers play for money not the love of the game anymore and thats where Chelsea have ruined the game of football!

Many other sports throughtout the world are closely fought season after season, with no clear stand out teams dominating the way it happens in European football.
Why?
Salary capping. When clubs can spend only up to a certain amount on their players, it obviously means teams such as Chelsea cannot simply go out and buy every top player and pay them as much as they want, thus practically ensuring winning the league.
It makes for a much fairer and more interesting competition.

May be but don't you think its the way forwards, because without money theres no champions of europe, or world club champions peeps would start to loose interest and go on to other sports.I think that the bung culture is whats been created is the real reason for the inbalance in the premiership.

i'm not sure about that bec. in terms of competitiveness, acquiring all these heavy repped players hasn't actually produced consistent results for chelsea and as far as team popularity is concerned, man utd still has the biggest fan base at least in asia where i'm from. i don't know about sponsorships though. i haven't taken the time to look at the figures. maybe that's where they have "spoilt" the balance a bit.

to be honest theyve got the best manager for the job mourinho is very good but they still bought the last to seasons really feel there gonna come unstuck this year ,i dont think its spoilt the premiership i feel its made all the other clubs have to evolve and move up a level ,theres definately alot of negative from all that spending spent 200mil on players over two years and lost the price tag of aston villa on 9 of them its pretty disgusting ,im just so glad we got rid of ash cole and got gallas we got the better part of the deal gallas is oresome amd definitely adds alot and has giveen a lift to the team.

No, for years Man. U., Liverpool and Arsenal were the rich teams and now the boots on the other foot all we here is bleating and whinging from all three.
So it hasn't spoilt the balance, just changed it

NO! definitely not, the chemistry of something new is carrying them along. When the newness wears off they will gradually drop to the standards of the rest. Spending lots of dosh on new players keeps it going but that won't last forever. This is a non biased view, my team languish in the lower leagues.
