In Michigan you are entitled to half of the "marital" assets. This consists of items that were purchased after the marriage. If children are involved it will be a separate case that would go into court. Pets would be something that would have to be worked out amongst the two of you. As for homes and vehicles...if only one person is on the title...it goes to that person. It is a long and complicated process...I wish you luck!

no, only half of the joint assets acquired AFTER the wedding unless stipulated by a prenuptual agreement

child support is a seperate issue

Yes they are in titled to half but I guess it would depend if there are children involved they could get more...there are lots to consider.
