Men are greedy and corrupt by nature. When term limits are not set you get career politicians who are more concerned with keeping there job then the needs of the people. In theory this was how the people were to get the power back into their hands. But there are bigger powers in the United States then the voice of the people.

Corporate America is essentially the problem. They pay better then the American people, they are not concerned with borders, war is profitable, the common man should be happy he has a job granted him by the corporation, they are the reason that the price of gas got so high. The CEOs of these multi-billion dollar companies make sure that they have the ear of the politicians. I don't care who you are or idealistic you once were, no one can resist the amount of money, power, and influence that corporate America can offer for a few small favors.

Couple that with the fact that Americans don't care anymore. We as a people are uninterested and uneducated in matters of state and therefore we don't realize that we a nation could bend the will of these politicians and corporations just by uniting. Believe me A forced United is unstoppable.

If everytime our government didn't act, or gas prices got to high, inflation to much, wages too low, taxes to steep, America just stayed home. We didn't go to work, didn't pay our bills, didn't stimulate the economy at all for 24-48 hours. THe trillions of dollars that would be lost would be all the message needed to get those people to act right. But it would take at least 80% of the country to do it otherwise there aren't enough people to remain an impunitive movement.

So if you truly want to know why corruption, greed, and murder abound and how do we change it, you need do nothing but blame the person you look at in the mirror.

What you describe has been going on for a very long time. The reason that such a malignancy persists in our nation is due to the "Good Ol' Boys' Network." Ever noticed every time some politician gets caught with his/her hand in the cookie jar that the investigation is conducted by some committee or other that's made up of other politicians?

How do we stop it all..? The only answer is revolution. You can't get rid of them any other way, including voting because all that does is change the faces, not the corruption and self-serving. Those misguided people who think that voting for a Democrat or a Republican or an independant candidate are doing nothing more than perpetuating this scourge.

Ehh... a bit cynical, are we? I don't see our leaders as any worse (or better) than any that came before them. Corrupt and greedy... maybe some of them... but I don't believe you can call any murderous.

Well, only the American public can do that, but they are being fooled by the Bush government and controlled press. The day the whole American public will be aware of their mistakes, America will change.
