Ah, I am on the biggest streak of unmotivation right now and I don't know why. Just can't get motivated to do homework or cleaning or anything else that needs to be done. This is not good!

How do you fix that?

I find if I'm not doing anything, it's easy to be unmotivated (especially if there's lots to be done). I usually try to just set small goals, because they don't seem too hard, like do the washing up, and then once I'm actually doing stuff, it's not too hard to keep on going.

If you still can't get motivated, then forget trying to do work. Don't sit there stressing about the work you're not doing. It doesn't achieve anything. Go out instead. Go for a walk. Go see some friends.

You'll feel much better for it.

What's the pay off for not getting things done? Look at it a little differently. There could be other hidden agendas that keep you from not doing your homework or laundry or what ever it may be.
If it's just the lack of motivation...then don't try to take it all on at once. Do things (chores or homework) in fifteen minute intervals. Then you can move on to something else for a while. Use a timer if you have to and see if this helps. It could be just the seasonal changes.
Good luck.

Review your habits.

Then change what isn't working. Break a pattern, start a new endeavor that requires a different mode of self-discipline.

Do the hard, distasteful, or dreadful thing first, and get it out of the way, so you can do the thing(s) you enjoy sooner. "Give to Caesar, that which is Caesar's..." then Caesar won't be bugging you, and you can get on with what really matters in your life.

If you're bummed from an emotional event, put it in perspective, and move on. If you need help, locate it. Don't wallow in crap, whatever it's characteristics.

Life isn't a dress rehearsal. This is IT, sister. The recorder is ON. Deal with the negative by overpowering it with a positive. I don't care how old you are, you don't want to waste one moment fretting over something you can't do squat about...if you can't fix it, give it to God, and move on.

Do what must be done, no matter how you feel. If you lived on a farm, and you felt as you do now, the animals may suffer. Write on a calendar the things you think should be done according to reason. If you are in a routine too long, though, you need a break. Perhaps what you need is a change of scenery. Perhaps what you need is meaning to the myriad of tasks that seem to have no meaning. Within each thing, there is a reason. Believe it. Even ants labour because they are ants.

only you can fix that. your motivation must be totally on what thrives you. your goals, your wants and desires, and needs also. if you have no vision, you are perished. so get a vision as to what you are and who you want to be. get the slouthfulness up out of you and know that you only have one life to live so live it to the best every day that you let go by is not replaceable. so look in the mirror and tell yourself its up to me and just do it!
