It has everything to do with match ups. You see it in every sport. There is always a team that will always have the number of another no matter how good or how bad either one might be. Twins showed a lot of heart. The Tigers got all the headlines but the Twins win the title. Pretty cool.

The Royals (my team) did fight to the end no doubt and do show promise of being able to compete in the Central Division again soon. Of course, they're going to have to come up with some money so they can put a stop to losing their star players.

Ya ever wonder where the Royals would be if they would have been able to hang on to some of the guys they've lost over the years like Carlos Beltran, Jermaine Dye & Johnny Damon?

If they can continue to beat the better teams, it seems the learning curve is not to far out there.

Being a Tigers fan, I'm actually glad to see Detroit take the wildcard. The only way that the Tigers can prove themselves as playoff contenders is by going through the Yankees, not letting the Twins take care of the dirty work.

They've got a few teams figured out, and they just happen to be the good teams. There aren't that many good teams in baseball. I think it's just coincidence. Will the Royals ever come back to become a dominant team?

that's baseball, it's a marathon not a sprint, maybe K,C, was playing over there head maybe a team that's 1-14 against somebody has to even things up a little no matter what.
