It's hard as hell to get a job without a GED. What you need is a plan of action.. like going to get your GED then get a trade. I know this may take a while[maybe a year or less] but it is a sound plan that will help you get on your feet and never have to look back

There are many jobs that you can obtain with a GED however, they will not pay very much. You should first try to obtain your GED by enrolling in a program that will assist you with this new goal. I don't know which state you reside in, but there are many places that will help you at no cost. The GED program as with any area in academics will require committment and perseverance, but you're smart you can do it.

With or without a GED the minimum wage is still your pay scale. If you want to increase your earnings I would recommend that you strongly consider registering for a GED program in your area.
Best of Luck!!

Very, very difficult.

Look for agricultural jobs. These will take much of your time, but often will provide work with decient people.

You will not get a job at a fast food joint. They require at least a GED.

I wish you luck. I will not waste my time telling you to get away from the deadbeat husband, because I know not your situation.

Remember. Meth is a very, very scary drug. 1 hit can equal seven years of addiction.

And don't let your husband try and make the stuff. Its not pretty when they fail. Believe me. I've seen the fires.

Contact your state welfare department to find out if they have any special programs to help you. There may be opportunities to work and earn your GED at the same time.

Unfortunately, without a GED your options are limited to minimum wage jobs such as fast food or clerking in a grocery store. There are no easy answers, but if your mind is made up to improve your life - you are capable of anything you set your mind to.

The question is not how you'll get a job, but where you will go. Seek a woman's shelter (stay with family member, etc.) or something along those lines. Things will only get worse with a drug addict, and bringing additional money into the house may mean he would want that for more drugs.

It's gonna be hard to be successful at finding and maintaining a job if your spouse is a meth addict - it's bound to interfere with your work, and you definitely don't want to risk leaving the kids alone with him. Even if he isn't violent with them, could you trust him in the event of an emergency (if they get hurt, sick, lost, or in the event of a fire)?

First, get yourself and your kids out of the house. Go to a shelter, church (they can help you find a safe place), or relative's house. Once there, get a restraining order against your husband, so that he can't interfere with you or put you or your children at risk. The church or shelter you go to can provide you with employment resources, and should be able to help you find a job and care for your children until you are able to do it on your own.

Good luck.

go to Ged classes at any commuity college or ask the high school offices. Take Ged test. 65 dollars. Then you'll have it. Do what you have to do to get the money, what ever that is. Food service industry does not require GED- there is a start.

you can fib about a high school education or 12th grade grad. not many places of employment check on that one. I would be more concerned about what you are going to put down as references on your apps. The bigger of the problem should be living with that meth. addict , that is hard one to over come!

There are agencies all over the place that are able to help you. I think that if you get a hold of a government agency in your area they will be able to direct you in the right direction. I wish you all of the good luck in the world.
