there are many complicated specs and reasons why to buy these but my solution is much easier. if you're looking for one this holiday here is what you should look for: the xbox 360 will have to most games. while xbox live is the best online gaming hub around, the games just don't do it for me yet. the ps3 will have the best games and the most variety like the ps2 does. it will be incredibly expensive and games will cost between $60-$70. the wii is new and may seem a little bizarre at first. the plus is that its only going to be $250 and come with a free sports compilation game disk. I will be buying a wii this holiday season for one reason> i love old school video games. the wii will have access to almost the entire nintendo 8, 16, and 64 bit library available for downloading. it will also have turbographix 16 and sega genesis titles. the price for games is between 5 and 10 bucks. i've been building an 8-bit library of games and some of the more popular ones (punch out, zelda, etc...) go for over $25!!!

The answer for me would definately be PS3. Nintendo gave their idea of motion sensing AFTER Sony talked about motion sensing in their controller. The Wii DOES NOT SUPPORT HDTV AT ALL. IT HAS THE SAME GRAPHICS AS A PLASTATION 1! COME ON NINTENDO! The Xbox360 is a complete rip-off of the PS3. The PS3 has full high definition and more. Microsoft realized that the DVD wasn't enough when Sony unvealed Blu-Ray discs. The BRD can have 25 gb on ONE LAYER. They are currently testing a 4 layer disc. The Xbox 360 is now getting HD-DVD, which is the rip-off, last-chance for survirvival method of the Xbox360. YOU NEED TO PAY FOR FULL HD ON THE SYSTEM!

The final specs (see link) are published on the PS3 (not the rumors and BS the x-box nazi's have been spreading) and it is truly "the" next-gen console. Wii is definitely an outside of the box design, 360 is 1 step in the right direction, but PS3 is head and shoulders above them in terms of power and functionality.
$600 is a lot of money, but go to the net and price an HDMI blu-ray player, it only has one of the functions the PS3 will have.
If you are only looking for a console to play games on any of the 3 will work, if you want something more there really isn't a question.

nintendo wii.
for me this is a choice between ps3 and wii. xbox 360 in my opinion is just out of the question, as it will probably be the last in the console competition.
anyways i choose wii over the ps3, mainly because of the $600 price tag on the ps3. Not only that, but the ps3 is very, very huge, probably like 4~5 times bigger than the wii. Also what i do not like about sony is the lack of originality. sony has been copying ideas from nintendo for a long time, and ps3 will sport a motion sensing controller, which is just plainly a stolen idea of the wii-mote.

well personally i am a big nintendo fan always have bene. i think i would get a 360 over a ps3 anyday. yes it looks beautiful but almost the same as the 360. i have a xbox ( origanal) right now and maby of my favorite franchises are going over to the 360. also lots of the games are going to be on both consles. my friend has a 3.60 and i have seen the power. i think when the prices go down ill get a 360 or just get a wii cause i love metroid and zelda and mario and other creative games. i think i would just gewt the wii though cause i have easy acess to a 360 already

I would so get the PS3. Because XBOX360 has crappy games period. And the Nintendo thing is sort of like a thingy-maggig. Too boring and game boy like; So I would get the PS3. Better anyways.

I'm seriously considering a PS3 to purchase in the near future, but I'll have to wait for the right time for the price to come down a bit.
