My partner and I think of it as a way of spicing up our sex life. It doesn't go any farther than light bondage, blindfolds and a little bit of *extra* simulation in actual play, but it's great fun.

It touches on some aspects of our lives that don't often get expression. I used to use it as a teenager in order to get off from time to time. There have been times it has surfaced now and then as a convenient piece of play in my marriage. I've known from some sites like alt.com the interaction with others that find a need or enjoy that form of expression. With the right people and the right mood and moment, it can be a tremendous thrill. I think it has a place in consideration, although there are extremes that some practice which take it out of consideration for most people.

BDSM is a legitimate and increasingly popular method of having relationships. It's not for everyone, but for a lot of people, it can be a healthy way of expressing various emotions, experiencing some intense sensations, and feeling more involved in a relationship than what a vanilla lifestyle presents. In other words, it's great! ;-)

I think bondage is great. Put on a blindfold (better, let him put you on a blindfold!) and sex goes into another dimension.
