According to this news segment on tv, it has happened before. Maybe it just wasn't as big an accident as this one.

If it does happen more often here, then why isn't it broadcast on the news? Why pay attention to the accident in Canada when it's more frequent here?

I live in Montreal, and it's happened before in Quebec unfortunately ..

Why it happens? Because the provincial gvmt rather spend money on referendums than on the city's infrastructures...if that's not the reason, I blame the unions...construction workers are highly unionized and barely do anything right...they take eyars to complete 3 month projects, and when they do work, only God knows what they're doing...Oh, and if it's not that either, then it's the engineers' fault, since code in Quebec is total ****...We have the most LAX engineer code...there are no standards, period.

Hopefully, this time, big changes will happen...People lost their lives due to others' incompetence.

I, & all Canadians would like the answer to this. Did happen before in Quebue, about 4-5 yrs. back. I'm sure we're going to hear more about this. Cheap shortcuts I'm thinking.

yes it did happen before, but i think the age of these overpasses is coming into play, they are old, not like the tunnels in Boston

never heard of it happening before in Canada, but apart from that it happens all the time, even in the great U.S.A. I would say even more so there.
