How much does planned parenthood charge for a consultation and/ or a blood test for pregnancy? I've never been before. I also heard that the paperwork takes a long time, about two hours, any truth to this?

They do give you alot of paper work alot of questions. That could take up to 30 min to complete. They charge you based on your income how much you make weekly. I told them i made $200 a week and my payment for consultation and urine test was $20.

Tell them you only make $100 a week this way it would be less then $20

I really think that it depends on the state in which you live. I live in Ohio and I have no insurance and am not currently working (I left my teaching job in Florida to move to Ohio with my fiance and thus lost my insurance...my fiance makes a good amount and supports us until I begin substitute teaching). I called Planned Parenthood to make an appointment for a pelvic (haven't had a period since July) and when I told them that I have no income or insurance they wanted a check stub of the person who supports me so they can base what they are going to charge me off of that. They told me that an office visit is anywhere from $60-$80 and then the mandatory pregnancy test would be $16 and if they found anything wrong there may be additional charges. So needless to say I have not had good experiences with Planned Parenthood and have decided not to go there, but I do know people who have had good experiences with them. I would just contact your local Planned Parenthoods and they should tell you the exact cost...also the paper work does not take that long. Good luck.

Planned Parenthood charges by how much you make, for example when I was in High school and had no job they charged me nothing, but when I got older and had a job then I was charged. The fees are not high and as far as I remember I was never there for 2 hours filling out paper work.

I live in PA and went for the first time (to Planned Parenthood) when I found out I was pregnant. All's I have to do was fill out a form about my family history (took about 10 to 15 minutes), then they took their own pregnancy test for verification, and that was about it for the first viist. It cost me $15.00.
They go by your income and I work part-time making about $150 a week and my husband makes about $300 a week. So the cost is pretty reasonable.

It takes a bit for paperwork plan a good- 20 minutes for it... Also depending on what you income is.... is what you'll pay... My sis worked fulltime making $11 an hour and she didnt have to pay anything for tests, or exam, or even pills.

I thought everything was based on your own income. At least it was when I went there. And no the paperwork doesn't take a long time

for a urine pregnancy test it's free. Also call ahead of time to see how busy they are, the paper work for a urine test takes about 10 min.
