Is it all really in your head?I am really shy and no one notices me but people tell me i am pretty and that i just have to act and show it?Is this true?

I think that your friend is very right... If you are conifident in who you are no matter what you look like you will come across to other people as a cofident person and cofidnece is a really hot thing... remember cofidence and cockyness are very diffrent. Dress the way that you feel comfortable and sometimes just the simple act of putting on some lipstick makes your whole look change.
walk and talk with your head held high and you will feel cofident....

A lot of it has to do with confidence. You could be butt-ugly, but if you're the life of the party, who cares?

nope, its a lie. I mean you do have to get outgoing to be hot, but most of the time when other people tell you your pretty its because your ugly and they feel bad for you, sorry.
