Abraham said something similar in a speech on June 16, 1858:
"A house divided against itself cannot stand."
He was paraphrasing something that Jesus said:
"And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand." (Mark 3:25, NASB)

Spanky McFarlen said that to Porky and Alfalfa in the Little Rascals. He was referring to the "He Man Woman Haters Club". It didn't hold though. Good Luck! :)

It's actually, "United we stand, divided we fall." And it was first said by Aesop.

This quote is attributed to my favorite person in history, Ben Franklin.
He said, "We must all hang together, or assuredly we will all hang seperately."
The man was a genius!
