I really like Red Hot Chili Peppers new album.

Billie play(s)(ed) with Pinhead Gunpowder, The Influents, Corrupted Morals, Rancid, the Lookouts, Goodbye Harry, and Blatz
Mike play(s)(ed) with The Frustrators. He has also played with Screeching Weasel, Crummy Musicians, and Squirtgun.
Tre has also played with The Lookouts and Samiam.
Jason White played with Pinhead Gunpowder, The Influents, Chino Horde, and The Big Cats.
Jason Freese played with Goo Goo Dolls, Joe Walsh, Liz Phair, and Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Also Jason played on the new Queens Of The Stoneage and Weezer albums.
And they are all in The Network.

You might like The Offspring. They came out about the same time as Green Day, and are somewhat similar (as much as anything can be similar to Green Day).

i wouldn't reccommend bands that are like green day, because then all the bands you listen to would sound exactly the same. but i happen to love green day, and some other bands i like are:
the red hot chili peppers
the hush sound (they're a bit quieter than green day)
30 seconds to mars
cobra starship
disturbed
mindless self indulgence (kind of hardcore)
the sounds

I don't like Green Day, but Be Your Own Pet is a band I like that's kind of similar.

Nickelback is similar. The only difference is Green Day is more of a punk rock.
