Hitting, beating, kicking is all physical child abuse. If you go to your local police station and ask them, they will give you more specific details and the best ways to prove it . You can also call or email to any lawyer (such Family Law lawyer) and they will tell you too.

I think the best way to prove it is photos of course. Take a photo of bruises or scratches.
The other way will be to let a professional psychologist or counselor to question the child and issue a formal statement that this child was in fact abused.

I would think family law lawyers have access to these professionals and can give you their contact information.

That depends on where you live. Sounds funny but in some areas spanking is considered abuse others not. If you suspect abuse on any kind to a child I would suggest you contact Child Protective Services and let them sort out if its abuse or not. You can report abuse and not give your name

anything that harms a child physically is physical child abuse.
If you need help or have questions about child abuse or child neglect, call the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453)

In Canada, you are not allowed to hit a child, period.
If you are being abused, call the kids helpline immediately, dont worry about what will happen to the abuser.

If you know of another child that is being abused, try keeping a record of what you see and hear from the child , the dates and times. Just over a short period of time. Call the police, or if you are afraid to do that, call the KIDS HELPLINE

Anyone who harms a child physically, morally or mentally is wrong. You can prove it when it happens, by physical marks, or by having a witness, or in the case of the child, just the child telling a grownup about it will bring about an arrest or removal of the child from that person. Please report it if it is you. You are too precious to let this happen to you or anyone.

poor laws on this one, poorly defined....spanking is ok in some states??/ but how hard a spanking?...making them go to bed early with no dinner, is this mental abuse? simply not loving them, is that emotional abuse that can land you in jail?...things need to be clearer and parents need some latitude in how they disapline their children...i have heard of people getting upset because a child was getting a spanking, that they needed!!...in the old days, a right smart butt beating seemed to help, i think we have forgotten, spare the rod, spoil the child

if you see anyone grabbing their sons/daughters arm and yanking it if the boy/girl has brusies anywhere on their body that looks suspicious but make sure cause he /she could have fallen for real if you see them slapping their faceor hitting them anywhere elseexcept a little swat on the butt call police or dhs they will decide!
